OMB 2026-10817 Compliance Audit Interactive Example

Below is an interactive example of the audit report or the proposed revision to the Uniform Grants Regulation (2 CFR Part 200) that I mentioned in my article. This audit can be run on all web based content that has a dedicated URL, including University/Institute/Lab web pages, PDFs, social media accounts, YouTube video transcripts, email communications and other marketing materials.

How to Use this Report:

1. Click through the Overview, Findings, and URL Audit tabs for examples of the granularity and specificity of the report. ​

2. Overview tab contains a Findings Summary and Flagged Pages, Recommended Action and Severity Level Keys to provide context for the labels, and metrics defining the Audit Scope.

3. Recommend Actions from the Overview tab link directly to the Findings tab which includes the Excerpt (flagged text), Issue (rationale for the flag), Regulatory Basis (i.e. §200.300(b)), and Recommended Action.

4. Findings tab is organized on a per page basis. There can be multiple flags per page, as is seen in the example report. 

5. URL Audit tab is sortable by Severity Level. Any URLs with flagged Findings link back to Findings tab via the Recommended Action column.
